ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle, single-occupant crash in Accomack County on Sunday afternoon.
According to State Police, emergency communications got a call of a man found deceased underneath a golf cart at the 35000 block of Robin Lane, within the Trails End Campground in Horntown, around 12:07 p.m.
Virginia State Police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya identified the man as 54-year-old Robert Jude Vandornick Jr. He was driving a golf cart up a hill in his backyard when he took a curve too short and drove over the embankment, causing the golf cart to overturn.
