CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The last time we sat down with Dani and David Tippett, they were sitting in the same spot on a 1990 Blue Bird All-American bus.
But it looked a lot different.
“I’m so ready be done with this project,” said David. “Ready to be on the road.”
They are now nine months into their Tippy Trips Skoolie Conversion Journey.
They’ve spent most of that time converting the old bus into a home on wheels. It was a top to bottom renovation that had them installing a plumbing system, a wood-burning stove, a refrigerator, a washer and a number of other necessities.
The Regent University graduates will be heading off to California first on March 24th, but they’re keeping most of their year-long traveling schedule open.
“I’m nervous but excited at the same time,” said Dani.
So far their journey has required a lot of patience and overcoming new obstacles weekly. But they both know it will all be worth it soon.
“We just feel like this is what we’re supposed to do,” said Dani.
