JAMES CITY COUNTY -- A group of students at Hornsby Middle School is in serious trouble after allegedly putting laxatives in a fellow student's drink.
The incident happened during lunch time in the cafeteria. According to James City County police, one student took the victim to the bathroom while four others put laxatives in her milk.
Major Steve Rubino said a custodian noticed the girls putting their fingers in the milk, stirring it, apparently to get the four pills to dissolve. The custodian stepped in, and the girl did not actually drink the milk.
Police say tampering with food or drink is a class three felony.
