James City County man missing for nearly two months

No one has seen Aaron Jacobson since February 12.

TOANO, Va. — Police in James City County are still asking for the public's help to find a man who disappeared nearly two months ago.

According to authorities, 32-year-old Aaron Jacobson was last seen at his home in the 100 block of Old Stage Road in Toano on the evening of February 12.

Since then, there has been no activity on Jacobson's phone, nor any verified sightings.

James City County Police spokesperson Stephanie Williams said they have no new leads, and because they consider him in danger, they're pleading to the public to provide any information they can.

"Even if they think it's not significant, maybe he made a comment or communicated with him, we want them to reach out to us," Williams said.

Williams said Jacobson's phone pinged in a very rural, wooded area on Richmond Road in the days after his disappearance. That's not far from his grandparents house on old stage road.

Unfortunately, police didn't find anything when they searched that area.

"We are concerned for his well-being and his family is concerned," Williams said. "We want to bring this to a successful resolve."

Jacobson's aunt Katherine Hazelwood described her nephew as extremely intelligent, kind and loving and has a quirky sense of humor.

Kim Lee is a family friend and old neighbor. She said she's known Jacobson's mother about 30 years.

"I assured them God knows where He is, we're praying for them, just keep the faith and just keep your hope in God," Lee said.

Family and police are remaining hopeful this afternoon, but what they need now is help from the public.

"It may be the missing link in solving this investigation," Williams said.
