NORFOLK-It's homecoming day for the crew of USS Scranton.
The Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine was due at Naval Station Norfolk Monday afternoon.
During the deployment, crewmembers aboard the 360-foot ship made port calls onducted port visits in Portugal,Bahrain and Spain. They also covered more than 40,000 nautical miles, conducting maritime security operations in the European and Central Command areas of responsibility.
The sub has a crew of 122 sailors and 16 officers.
