New addiction treatment center opens in Norfolk

Avenues Recovery hosted its ribbon-cutting event at its newest addiction treatment center at 1516 Harmon Street.

NORFOLK, Va. — A new addiction center opened in Norfolk on Monday.

Avenues Recovery hosted its ribbon-cutting event at its newest addiction treatment center at 1516 Harmon Street.

The facility works to target addiction with treatment plans for people battling substance abuse. The addiction center services include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, art, music and yoga. The facility has amenities like an outdoor recreational area, fitness center and client lounges.

It also offers an alumni program for clients in recovery to provide a loyal community that supports clients through their recovery journey.

“At Avenues, we are more than just all-stars or teams filled with talent,” said Matt Engler, an Avenues regional director. “We are truly good people and that is the foundation by which everything is built.”
