Virginia Beach Public Health Department shifts operations for COVID-19

The Virginia Beach Department of Public Health has modified operations for its clinic, pharmacy and other services due to the novel coronavirus.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — COVID-19 has prompted a number of cities and organizations in Hampton Roads to adjust their schedules and operations.

The Virginia Beach Department of Public Health is making some of those same changes to its clinic and pharmacy hours as well as other department programs.

The clinic will be open on Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the services listed below:

  • Wednesday
    • Maternity: AM by appointment only
    • STI: PM by appointment only
  • Thursday
    • STI: AM/PM by appointment only
    • Family Planning: PM by appointment only

Clinic appointments can be made by phone at (757) 518-2700 (option 1).

Pharmacy hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The pharmacy will be closed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. On Friday, the hours will change to 8:30 a.m. to1 p.m.

The business hours for the WIC program have not changed and will remain the same at all WIC offices (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Dental services will be closed for the week of March 16 to March 20. The services for vital statistics will be available at the Norfolk Health Department for funeral directors/runners only. The public can process their requests through the VDH website.
