Hampton man survives 110' fall from Texas water tower

Authorities say Brandon Milley, 21, was wearing a safety rig when he fell from the North Kaufman Water Supply tower.

KAUFMAN, TEXAS -- A Hampton man survived a fall from a water tower in Texas on Sunday.

Brandon Milley, 21, was 110 feet up, painting the North Kaufman Water Supply tower on County Road 139, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Milley was wearing a safety rig, according to investigators.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition but was upgraded to fair condition on Monday.

Milley works for Worldwide Industrial Corp. of Butler, Pa., which has the maintenance contract on the tower.

An investigation into the incident continues.
