VIRGINIA BEACH (AP) -- The Seabees' new headquarters at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek is expected to be complete in March 2012.
The Virginian-Pilot reports that the 1st Naval Construction Division has broken ground for the 28,330-square-foot building. The division oversees more than 16,000 Seabees who deploy worldwide.
Noah Enterprises and MEB General Contractors were awarded the $10.2 million project in a joint venture.
