VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — February is here and love is in the air. Whether you call it Valentine's Day or 'Single Awareness Day,' a little sugar doesn't hurt anybody on this unofficial holiday.
"Valentines Day is going to be on February 14 again this month this year, that's all I'm going to tell you," said Brenda Tusing, the co-owner of the Royal Chocolate shop.
Tusing said she sees it every year — the desperate look in people's faces when they realize they almost forgot about Valentine's Day.
If you are trying to sugar up your sweetie, then Royal Chocolate has plenty of options for you.
"We sell a lot of strawberries, especially this time of the year," said Terry Restin, co-owner of the store.
The shop has many options in milk, dark and white chocolate.
"Give us a few ideas, and we will make you look good," said Tusing.
There's a large section dedicated to grab-n-go candy and cookie bundles, which is ideal if you are in a rush.
If time is on your side, you can enjoy fresh fondue in the store.
During February, you can also treat your significant other to a custom chocolate bar making experience, as the store hosts several workshops.
