Former UVA law student pleads guilty in school break-in

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA-- A former University of Virginia law student pleaded guilty to breaking into a school building.

According to PilotOnline.com, Joshua Gomes broke into the Registrar's Office to intercept a request for his transcript. Prosecutors say he was going to begin an internship with a New York based law firm that required him to submit a transcript request.

Officials on the case say Gomes admitted to breaking into the building three times and stealing his transcript.

PilotOnline.com reports that his defense attorney said Gomes was under pressure at school and at home.

Gomes will be sentenced in December.
