(WVEC) -- Due to a piece of defective equipment, some Cox customers are experiencing internet outages, Tuesday.
The equipment, a C6300BD router, has a software issue. A customer service representative told a 13News Now employee that workers tried to fix the issue remotely, but the attempt backfired on them.
If you own this router and are experiencing this issue, Cox says to bring the faulty equipment, and the power cord, to a Cox store and they will replace the equipment free of charge.
