VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Legendary country star Willie Nelson will no longer perform in Virginia Beach for his Outlaw Music Festival on Wednesday.

"Willie Nelson will not be performing at tonight's show in Virginia Beach. We expect Willie to return to the tour shortly," the Facebook post reads.

The announcement was made on Nelson's Facebook account on Wednesday, days after it was revealed he was experiencing some health concerns.

"Willie Nelson is not feeling well and, per doctor's orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days," the post reads, in part. "He is expected to make a quick recovery and join the Outlaw Music Festival tour next week."

Although Nelson won't be playing the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater on this tour, attendees will still get to enjoy Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, and Celisse. Plus, Nelson's son Lukas Nelson and family will play their own set, alongside some of Nelson's classics.

The Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater is the third stop on the Outlaw Music Festival, which kicked off in Georgia on June 21. Nelson missed that show as well.

Since the Outlaw Music Festival's debut in 2016, artists like Chris Stapleton, Neil Young, Luke Combs, Van Morrison and many others have performed.

“This year’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour promises to be the biggest and best yet with this lineup of legendary artists. I am thrilled to get back on the road again with my family and friends playing the music we love for the fans we love,” Nelson said in the tour's initial announcement.
