JAMES CITY COUNTY -- A woman is in a wheelchair Monday morning, recovering from injuries after a hit-and-run accident left her in pain and lying on the side of a road in the middle of the day.
43-year-old Michelle Dean is an avid cyclist. She says she can't understand how someone could just drive away after hitting her with a car.
'I had three doctors tell me it was a miracle that I'm not paralized. They don't know looking at my x-rays why I can move my hands and legs,' said Dean.
'I can understand an accident. But to not stop, I don't understand.'
There isn't a description of the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run, but investigators are asking anyone with information to call James City County Police.
