PORTSMOUTH, Va. — An investigation is underway after police say a woman was found shot in Portsmouth Tuesday night.
Portsmouth police were called to a reported shooting on Mt. Vernon Avenue near London Boulevard at around 10:15 p.m.
At the scene, officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Police have not said the severity of her injuries.
No other information was released immediately.
