NORFOLK, Va. — A woman was taken to the hospital for treatment after getting shot in Norfolk Saturday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Norfolk Police Department, officers found a woman suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in the 3300 block of N Military Highway after they were "flagged down" around 3:48 p.m. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Detectives eventually determined the shooting actually took place in the 1300 block of Strand Street.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
