NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — On Tuesday, Oct. 1, Newport News police were called to the 600 block of Morris Drive to handle a domestic dispute after 9:40 a.m.
But before they got there, the complainant called the police again: a woman claiming to be a relative of his nephew had taken the boy from their residence. According to police, he was following the woman in his vehicle.
The police and the parties involved ended up at a hotel in the 6100 block of Jefferson Avenue, where officers discovered the suspect did not have permission to take the child.
The child was returned to his uncle, and the suspect, 48-year-old Angela Beizer, was arrested and charged with abduction.
