PORTSMOUTH -- Portsmouth Police hope you can help them identify a man caught on video trying to get into cars.
Images from a surveillance camera show the man in the driveway of a home on Gee Street on Christmas Eve morning. He's seen pulling on the door handle of the first car.
He got inside and rifled through it and tampered with the ignition, damaging the steering column and dash board, Det. Misty Holley told 13News Now.
Holley says he then went to the truck parked alongside and when he couldn't get in, he walked to a car at the house next door. He didn't get into that one, he walked away, Holley added.
