PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth police were notified by a local hospital on Saturday about a man with a gunshot wound to his upper extremities, authorities said.
Police said the man walked into an area hospital that then notified officers around 12:27 p.m. of the gunshot wound. The victim is receiving medical treatment but police have not said what their condition is.
The shooting happened in the vicinity of High Street and the Martin Luther King off-ramp.
Police have not announced if any arrests have been made or what led up to the shooting. An investigation is underway.
