US Marshals offer $5K reward for man accused of deadly shooting at Hampton Rally's

The agency is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Elijah James-Sanders, 25.

HAMPTON, Va. — The U.S. Marshals Service is looking for the man accused of fatally shooting a teenager at Hampton Rally's Drive-In restaurant in November.

The agency is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Elijah James-Sanders, 25. 

He is facing charges of second-degree murder, burglary with the intent to commit assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm in an occupied dwelling and wearing a mask in public.

The shooting happened on Nov. 22 in the 1000 block of West Mercury Boulevard. Investigators think that the victim, an employee at the restaurant, was involved in a fight with the suspect. After the altercation, police say the suspect displayed a firearm, shot the victim and got away.

According to the Hampton Police Division, James-Sanders should be considered armed and dangerous.
