KITTY HAWK, N.C. — Deputies with the Dare County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged a woman for felony drug possession following a traffic stop on Aug. 21.
According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, deputies from the A-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Highway 158 in Kitty Hawk around 11:06 p.m.
When they deployed their K-9 unit, mushrooms and THC were discovered and seized by deputies.
21-year-old Julia L. Knapp of Virginia Beach was arrested at the scene. She has been charged with Felony Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance and Felony Possession of THC.
Knapp has been issued a $15,000 secured bond related to these charges.
