NAGS HEAD, N.C. — Two people are facing charges after a search of their car revealed illegal drugs inside.
On Tuesday, just after 7 p.m., officers with the Dare County Sheriff's Office pulled over a car on Highway 18 in Nags Head, N.C. During the stop, police say they found probable cause to search the car. During this search, officers discovered quantities of cocaine, Psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, and paraphernalia. These drugs were seized as a result of the investigation.
Police arrested two people in connection to the drugs that were found:
- Drake Eric Hermann,28, of Hampton, VA, was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule I and II controlled substance. He was taken unto custody under a $30,000 secured bond. He was also cited for possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
- Elizabeth Anne Saunders,39, of West Point, VA, was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance and placed under a $7,500 secured bond. She was cited for possession of marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, and drug paraphernalia as well.
