YORK, Va. (WVEC) -- The York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office says three teenagers are in custody following a deadly shooting last week in York County.
Investigators say on Friday evening, 18-year-old Kameron Stanley was standing outside a residence in the 1000 block of Stewart Dr. when a green Mercedes with three suspects pulled up. One of the occupants pulled out a gun and shot Stanley several times.
Stanley was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
"You just never imagine life without your child, just never," Stanley's mother, Dawn Taylor says.
Taylor says he was with her son just minutes before he was shot.
"I laid beside him and he just kept saying mom it burns so bad," Taylor says.
