VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Two people were injured in a shooting in Virginia Beach's Vibe District shortly after midnight Friday, police said.
According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, the shooting happened in the 700 block of 19th Street, which is by the intersection with Cypress Avenue. A spokesperson confirmed it took place outside of Crocs 19th Street Bistro.
Police responded around 12:09 a.m. after ShotSpotter technology detected gunfire, which correlated with several 911 calls reporting gunshots.
Medics took the victims to a hospital to be treated for injuries not considered to be life-threatening, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.
Police didn't share what led to the shooting, but it is being investigated. No one has been arrested yet, according to police.
