PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth Police Department officers are investigating a shooting that injured a teenage boy on Sunday.
The shooting took place about 1:30 p.m., according to an email from Portsmouth Police. Officers responded to the call in the 1100 block of Virginia Avenue in the London Oaks Apartments. That's where they found a boy suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was transported to a local hospital.
No additional details were available, and the investigation is still ongoing.
