Norfolk man accused of shooting, injuring man outside Taco Bell

The victim was rushed to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital but is expected to survive.

NORFOLK, Va. — A Norfolk man is facing charges in connection to a shooting near a Taco Bell early on Sunday morning, the Norfolk Police Department (NPD) announced Monday.

Jermaine McIntosh Jr. was arrested on malicious wounding and use of a firearm charges. The 23-year-old was booked into the Norfolk City Jail without bond.

McIntosh is accused of shooting a 36-year-old man at the Taco Bell on Monticello Avenue, between East 20th and 21st streets, at around 3:10 a.m. 

Police said the victim was rushed to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital but is expected to survive.

Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting or if McIntosh and the victim knew each other.
