PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A person was shot in Portsmouth Wednesday night, police said.
Portsmouth police say they responded to a call for a shooting in the 500 block of Edwards Street near the Norfolk Naval Shipyard around 11:30 p.m. Officers found the victim at a hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound.
Police did not release any other details about the incident.
