HAMPTON, Va. — A man is in the hospital with serious injuries after a shooting Saturday night in Hampton, police say.
Hampton police say they received a call reporting gunshots in the 200 block of Buckroe Avenue near Buckroe Beach around 11:40 p.m.
When officers got to the scene they found a man with gunshot wounds. Police say he was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries by Hampton Fire and Rescue.
Police investigation found that the victim was an employee at Coasters Beach Grill on Buckroe Avenue and was shot by an unknown suspect at the business.
The incident is still under investigation.
