PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A man is in the hospital after he was shot in Portsmouth on Friday afternoon.
The shooting happened just after 2:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Frederick Boulevard, not far from the Walmart.
Police arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where authorities say he should survive.
Portsmouth police have not released any details about what may have led to the shooting or if any suspects have been identified.
