Portsmouth police arrest two for threatening a victim, family member

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVEC) -- A robbery victim and a family member of his was threatened by two people on Thursday.

Two 18-year-olds made threatening statements to intimidate the victim and prevent him from testifying against a robbery suspect. The robbery took place on May 8.

Police started investigating when they were notified about the threats.

On Friday, police arrested Jonicia L. Harris, of Portsmouth, and 18-year-old Bruce L. Williams, Jr. of Portsmouth. They are currently being held at the Portsmouth City Jail without bond.

The two 18-year-olds have been charged with two counts of felony obstruction of justice.
