PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth police have arrested a suspect in connection to a homicide that happened in mid-April.
Police updated on Friday that they have arrested 20-year-old Tyree Soto. Soto is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm, and shooting in the commission of a felony. He is being held without bond.
Police say officers were called to the 900 block of Suburban Parkway just after 2 in the morning on April 15. They arrived to find Wayne Morris, 33, suffering from severe gunshot wounds. Morris died on the scene.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
