PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A man was hospitalized after getting shot in Portsmouth Monday evening, police confirmed.
Portsmouth police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of the 300 block of Effingham Street at around 5:48 p.m.
At the scene, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital for treatment but his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
No suspect information was released.
