NORFOLK, Va. — A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery on Tuesday, the Norfolk Police Department said.
Norfolk police responded to a robbery at the Truist Bank branch at 245 E Little Creek Road around 9:35 a.m. The suspect, later identified as 24-year-old Lemar A. Veale, fled the scene before officers arrived.
Police found Veale in Portsmouth shortly after, and he was arrested. He was charged with robbery, use of a firearm and threats in writing.
Veale is currently being held at the Norfolk City Jail.
