N.C. man arrested for showing obscene images to children

Officials from the Hatteras District of the Dare County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a man showing obscene images and videos to children under the age of 16 on July 14
Joseph Lee Edwards, 23, was charged with two counts of dissemination of obscene materials to minors in Dare County, N.C.

DARE Co., N.C. (WVEC) -- Deputies have arrested a man they say showed obscene images and videos to children at a campground in Waves.

Officials from the Hatteras District of the Dare County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a man showing obscene images and videos to children under the age of 16 on July 14.

Deputies spoke to two juvenile victims and other witnesses.

The suspect was located in Nags Head and cooperated with the Deputies and Nags Head Officers and was arrested.

Joseph Lee Edwards, 23, from Columbia, N.C. was charged with two counts of dissemination of obscene materials to minors.

Edwards was released on a $10,000 secured bond.
