4 men arrested in Virginia Beach for car break-ins and theft

Virginia Beach police said they were able to recover drugs, a stolen credit card, and three firearms, including one that was already reported stolen.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Four men have been arrested after allegedly breaking into cars and stealing guns, drugs, and other items.

According to the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD), officers responded to the 900 block of 24th Street around 3:36 a.m. on Tuesday for a report of people possibly breaking into cars.  

When police arrived at the scene, they were able to identify the suspected vehicle, pull it over nearby. Officers said they recovered illegal drugs, a stolen credit card, and three guns, including one that had been reported stolen.

VBPD arrested 22-year-old Amard White, 24-year-old Jawan Burnell, 25-year-old Khalik Perry – all from Chesapeake – and 26-year-old Jermaine Vaughan of Virginia Beach.

All four have been charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a Schedule I or II substance, possession of a firearm while possessing a Schedule I or II substance, possession of burglarious tools, grand larceny of a credit card, and destruction of property.
