MATHEWS COUNTY, Va. — A grand jury indicted five people on felony drug charges in Mathews County last week following a months-long investigation, authorities announced Monday.
Over the course of five months, the Mathews County Sheriff's Office and the Virginia State Police Tri-Rivers Drug Task Force investigated a narcotic distribution scheme. The investigation led to the arrests of the following individuals:
- Logan Cannon, 38, of Mathews was arrested for felony distribution of a schedule I/II drug and manufacture and/or distribute an imitation schedule I/II drug.
- Thomas Tilley, 46, of Hallieford was arrested on three counts of felony distribution of a schedule I/II drug.
- Melinda Thomas, 46, of Halliford was arrested on two counts of felony Distribution of a Schedule I/II drug
- Anthony Grenier, 40, of Mathews arrested on one count felony distribution of a schedule I/II drug.
- Joanna Ferreris, 39, of Mathews arrested on felony distribution of a schedule I/II drug and felony possession of a schedule I/II drug charges.
All five people are being held without bond, according to the sheriff's office.
