HAMPTON, Va. — The Hampton Police Division is investigating after a man allegedly brandished a gun and stole cash from the Hampton Health Department Thursday morning.
At around 8:45 a.m., authorities received a call reporting an armed robbery at the health department located in the 3100 block of Victoria Boulevard near Algonquin Road.
The suspect, who was wearing a black ski mask, displayed a firearm before demanding money from the employees, according to police. Once the man secured an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities say he fled the health department.
