PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Police are investigating an early-morning shooting that left a man dead in Portsmouth on Thursday.
The Portsmouth Police Department said officers were called to the 1400 block of Talley Circle around 1:44 a.m. They arrived to find a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
The man, 25-year-old Quashawn D. Perry, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police have not said what may have led to the shooting or if any suspects have been identified at this time.
