PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A man who police say fired a gun at a moving vehicle has been charged.
Just before 9 p.m. Thursday, the Portsmouth Police Department received calls about a man who shot at a passing vehicle on High Street.
The suspected target of the shooter and a bystander whose vehicle was also hit described the suspect to police at the scene.
Officers were able to find the suspect downtown on King Street, matching the witness description. The victims also verified the suspect.
Police say the suspect was arrested and behind bars in less than two hours after the shooting incident happened.
