VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- On Tuesday, a man pled guilty to several charges surrounding the 2014 murder of Gilbert McGriff.
Taji Blackston entered guilty pleas to second degree murder, two counts of robbery, two counts of conspiracy, attempted robbery and three counts of use of a firearm.
According to the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, Blackston alongside a group of co-conspirators committed an armed robbery, then later a second armed robbery and murder on July 30, 2014.
Blackston is set to be sentenced on Nov. 9.
