VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A man has died following a domestic-related shooting in Virginia Beach's Castleton neighborhood Monday evening, authorities confirmed.
In a release on Tuesday, the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) said the victim, 48-year-old Danny Theis, had succumbed to his injuries.
VBPD and Virginia Beach Rescue were called to the shooting on Mulberry Loop shortly after 5:20 p.m. There, they found Theis shot and began providing him medical treatment.
He was rushed to a hospital where police say he ultimately died.
There's no word on any arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
