NORFOLK, Va. — Detectives have charged a woman for fatally shooting her brother Sunday morning, according to the Norfolk Police Department (NPD).
The shooting happened near the intersection of Shore Drive and East Little Creek Road shortly after 5 a.m.
According to police, when officers arrived at the scene, they found 24-year-old Kimaun T. Ewell with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Police say he was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Detectives arrested and charged the victim's sister, 32-year-old Kiana T. Ewell with second-degree murder and use of a firearm, according to police.
Police say both the victim and suspect are from Richmond.
Kiana Ewell is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
