PORTSMOUTH, Va. — An investigation is underway after authorities found a man shot in Portsmouth Saturday night.
Just before 9:40 p.m., Portsmouth police were called to Stratford Street between Carey and Weaver circles where they found a man shot. The victim, Tayontrae Baker, was rushed to a hospital, with police announcing Sunday that the 29-year-old had succumbed to his injuries.
No information about what led up to the shooting, motive or a possible suspect have been released at this time.
