Man dies after late night shooting in Norfolk

25-year-old Rayvone Foster died as a result of injuries he sustained in a shooting on Curlew Drive late Saturday night.
Police chief Mark Talbot said homicides are down 20%, non-fatal shootings plunged 50%, and robberies dropped 23%.

NORFOLK, Va. — A man is dead after a late Saturday night shooting in Norfolk, according to a press release from Norfolk police.

Around 11:35 p.m., officers responded to the 5800 block of Curlew Drive after receiving a report about a gunshot victim. 

When they arrived, they found 25-year-old Rayvone D. Foster of Norfolk, with life-threatening injuries.

Foster was taken to the hospital where he eventually died as a result of his injuries. 

Detectives have not yet named a suspect in connection to this homicide.
