EDENTON, N.C. — A man has died after a shooting in Edenton Sunday night, police say.
Edenton Police say that around 11:45 p.m. they responded to an injured person with critical gunshot wounds in the 200 block of Tyler Lane. The victim, 19-year-old Lamar Jacquon Ford, was taken to ECU Health Chowan Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Ford's death is being investigated as a homicide.
Edenton Police said that the shooting was not random and they are asking any witnesses who were in the area to help in the investigation.
