Court documents show alleged violence between Nunamaker and his wife, Jaye Nunamaker. Paperwork states the husband and wife are accused of assaulting each other in early March. It goes on to say that Nunamaker felt his wife wanted to harm him.

13News Now found a protective order granted in March after Nunamaker's wife said he threatened to kill her.

There were four security cameras outside of the home, facing its sides and front door.

"Some friends of her came down two, three four weeks ago, whatever, and put the cameras up to help give her that kind of protection," said Patricia Seacrist, the Nunamaker's neighbor.

Online court records show that Nunamaker's accused killer, Layne, was convicted of murder in 1988.

13News Now also found that Nunamaker was a registered sex offender, convicted of Forcible Sodomy in 1992.
