GLOUCESTER, Va. — A man has been arrested and charged after firing a crossbow at people visiting a residential property in Gloucester County.
Gloucester County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of Guinea Circle in reference to a weapons offense on Nov. 19 at 12:34 p.m.
An initial investigation determined an arrow from a crossbow pierced the passenger side of a vehicle where investigators say one of the victims had been sitting, but no one was hurt during this incident.
According to authorities, the victims were supposed to meet with an individual at a residential property before, they were shot at by someone with a crossbow.
Investigators eventually found the crossbow and recovered the arrow from the side of vehicle.
54-year-old Raymond Jenkins was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted aggravated malicious wounding, shooting at a vehicle, and two counts of shooting in the commission of a felony.
Deputies said Jenkins knew the victims.
