ISLE OF WIGHT CO., Va. (WVEC) -- Deputies have arrested a man accused of making threats against an Isle of Wight County Circuit Court judge.
Joseph Anderson "Andy" Wright Jr. was arrested and charged after he allegedly made threats against Circuit Judge L. Wayne Farmer and his family.
Investigators say that Wright has made vague and hypothetical statements of discontent with Farmer, a former Commonwealth's Attorney who has also become a judge and the legal system as a whole.
Authorities determined that Wright planned and researched the threats and also had the means to carry them out.
He was charged with threat to bomb, burn or destroy by fire a building, structure or any means of transportation.
He is being held at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail with no bond, while additional charges are pending.
