NORFOLK, Va. — The man accused of abducting and killing Ashanti Billie is facing new charges.
A grand jury certified assault with intent to sexually abuse and stalking among some of the new charges against Eric Brown.

Brown is accused of abducting 19-year-old Ashanti Billie from Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek on September 18, 2017. Nearly two weeks later, her body was found near a church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Here's a breakdown of the charges against Eric Brown:
- Kidnapping Resulting in Death
- Assault with intent to Commit Aggravated Sexual Abuse, Sexual Abuse
- Assault with Intent to Commit Any Felony
- Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury
- Theft of Personal Property
- Stalking
- Criminal Forfeiture
According to court documents, Brown worked as a day laborer and had worked on the construction of the Blimpie's deli where Billie was employed.
Brown, a 21-year veteran, is homeless and reportedly lived at random facilities and buildings on and off the naval bases. He was frequently seen visiting the Blimpie's.
His attorneys said Brown should not be forcefully medicated to stand trial, even though he is already being medicated. His attorneys said it is impacting his health.
