JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. — A man wanted for sex crimes was arrested on Monday morning, the James City County Police Department (JCCPD) said.
Damecus Demory White,33, turned himself in at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail. He was wanted by JCCPD on charges of rape and forcible sodomy.
Police asked for the public’s assistance in finding him, following a months-long investigation. Felony warrants for rape and forcible sodomy were obtained on June 24, 2024.
Police described White as approximately 5’07’’ tall and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. White is possibly living as a transient in the Greater Williamsburg Area.
White is being held without bond at Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
